Auctions America kicks off its 2013 calendar with the return of its highly anticipated Collector Cars of Fort Lauderdale event, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, March 22-24, 2013.
Now in its 11th year, the 2013 event is set to build on Auctions America’s strong track record in South Florida, lifting the gavel on more than 500 quality collector cars. The offering will span the spectrum of the market from American classics, European sports cars, Detroit muscle, hot rods and customs, catering for a broad range of automotive tastes.
Notable highlights for the sale include a 1951 Chevrolet Styleline DeLuxe Convertible, formerly owned by ‘King of Cool’ Steve McQueen and currently owned by Rick Harrison, star of the History Channel’s hit reality television show ‘Pawn Stars’; and a well-documented 1967 Dodge Coronet WO23 Hemi Super Stock Racecar, one of just 55 1967 Factory Super Stock Dodges produced and boasting a documented period race history at major 1967 NHRA events. Other notable entries include a diverse assortment of 1950s convertibles from ‘The Gauthier Collection’ including a meticulously restored 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible and a 1952 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible.
Admission fees for the auction are $20.00 for a day pass and $50.00 for a weekend pass. Children 12 years of age and under will gain free admission.
Please note that the Broward County Convention Center lies within the confines of Port Everglades. Due to new Federal security requirements, you must show your government issued picture identification (PASSPORT or DRIVER’S LICENSE) at all security checkpoints to gain access to the Convention Center.
