RM Auctions returns to the prestigious Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, January 18 for the official start of the 2013 collector car auction season. Boasting a reputation for presenting historic sports and racing cars and desirable American and European classics, the 2013 sale is set to continue the grand tradition, offering an elite, handpicked selection of the world’s finest automobiles to an international clientele.

Building on RM’s reputation for presenting important and historic Ferraris at auction, the Arizona sale will lift the gavel on an exceptional series of Ferraris headlined by a gorgeous, award winning 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta ‘Competizione’ with matching-numbers and only four owners from new. Joining the Berlinetta are many other notable examples from the Prancing Horse stable including an original, matching-numbers 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 complete with Red Book certification and fresh from a comprehensive restoration by Ferrari Classiche in Maranello, a Ferrari Classiche certified, Platinum Award winning 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB, and a matching-numbers 1954 Ferrari 250 Europa Coupe, one of only 16 coupes produced and recipient of a spectacular concours restoration.

Also receiving top billing is an outstanding 1965 Ford GT40, the first production road coupe delivered to the UK, as well as a trio of rare and highly desirable Shelbys featuring a genuine, fully documented 1967 427 ‘Semi-Competition’ Cobra; a 1963 Shelby Cobra ‘Factory Competition-Specification’ equipped with various luxury options; and a 1965 Shelby GT350R. Additional highlights include a Pebble Beach-winning 1934 Cadillac V-16 Convertible Sedan, a 1960 Imperial Crown Convertible Roadster, and a Figoni et Falaschi bodied 1938 Delahaye 135 MS Coupe featured at the 1938 Paris Salon.
