The Santa Rosa Custom Auto Show returns to the Bay Area after a break of sixteen years, showcasing several dozen rarely seen custom cars, motorcycles and hot rods at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa from March 9-11. Handpicked cars will be presented by their owners to the general public for three days, and will range from uniquely designed prototypes to rare cars and trucks restored to mint condition.
Vehicles presented at the Santa Rosa Auto Show are brought in by invitation only, allowing some of the finest custom and hot-rod cars on the West Coast to appear together in one location.
The Santa Rosa Custom Auto Show was started in the 1950s by the Street Angels car club, and was a highly anticipated annual event before closing its gates in 1996. Under new management, the auto show will provide a yearly opportunity for car enthusiasts as well as families to enjoy beautiful vehicles in a clean and fun environment featuring live music, food and games.
“We’re hoping to spark a renewed interest in the automotive history of the region,” says Greg Grundstrom, owner and manager of the Santa Rosa Custom Auto Show and an exotic car mechanic. “The cars on display at the Santa Rosa Custom Auto Show are among the best in the country. I grew up going to the Santa Rosa auto show, and wanted to bring the enjoyment of quality cars back to this area while creating an entertaining event to which you can bring the whole family. This will be a great new tradition for this city, and will hopefully bring a lot of important revenue to local businesses in years to come.”
