The 2015 Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance will be staged at the world-renowned Pinehurst Resort the first weekend in May. The best of golf will meet the best of the automobile, while helping honor some of the United States’ bravest men and women.
Three days of events are planned for the third annual Pinehurst Concours starting on Friday, May 1 and culminating on Sunday, 3, 2015, with some of the most historic and rare automobiles staged on the fairways of the iconic golf resort.
Known as the birthplace of golf in the United States, Pinehurst has hosted more golf championships than any other site in America, including the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, PGA Championship, a Ryder Cup match, PGA Tour Championship and U.S. Amateurs.
Amenities at Pinehurst include the quaint Village of Pinehurst, award-winning restaurants and boutique hotels, including the flagship Carolina Hotel, all within a short walk or shuttle ride, enabling patrons, entrants and residents to experience all activities. And Pinehurst’s No. 2 course is regarded as one of the top 10 tests of golf in the world, designed by the legendary architect Donald Ross.
Pinehurst is situated in the Sandhills of North Carolina with more than 7 million people living within a 100-mile radius, including the thriving cities of Charlotte and Raleigh. The area is renowned for its Southern hospitality, pleasant weather and pine trees. The Pinehurst Concours is also centrally located along the Interstate 95 corridor, halfway between Florida and New York, providing close proximity to some of the finest privately-held cars and collections.
Each year, the Pinehurst Concours honors troops stationed at Fort Bragg with the popular Iron Mike Rally. Fort Bragg is home to the famed 82nd Airborne Division, as well as the primary training facility for the Army Special Operations Forces. There are more than 57,000 active military personnel and families in the Fort Bragg area, located 40 minutes away from Pinehurst.
